Privacy Policy for JB Tool - Ping
Effective Date: October 7, 2026
Advertising-related data processing described in this policy applies only when the app includes Google AdMob. It does not apply to an ad-free installation.
1. Overview
JB FACTORY ("we," "our," or "us") provides the JB Tool - Ping mobile application, whose launcher name is Ping. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app handles, why it is used, where processing occurs, and the choices available to you.
2. Ping Testing and Network Information
When you start a test, the app uses your device's system Ping capability to send network diagnostic requests directly to the hostname or IP address you entered. If you enter a hostname, your device or configured DNS service may resolve it to an IP address. The app processes replies, failures, response times, packet loss, and jitter to display the requested results and create local test history.
Ping traffic is not routed through a server operated by JB FACTORY. The selected target, your network provider, and any DNS service involved in resolving a hostname may receive or observe technical network information, such as your IP address, the requested hostname, request timing, and diagnostic traffic, according to their own logging and privacy practices. JB FACTORY does not control those independent parties.
You are responsible for testing only systems and networks that you own or are authorized to test.
3. Information Stored on Your Device
The app may store the following information locally:
- hostnames or IP addresses, test settings, test times, status, response details, and summary statistics in History;
- hostnames or IP addresses that you save as Favorites; and
- your selected app-language preference.
This information is stored in the private storage assigned to the app and is not transmitted to JB FACTORY. Android cloud backup and device-to-device transfer are disabled for the app's internal data.
4. Permissions and Device Access
- Internet: Used to resolve hostnames and send the Ping requests you initiate, load ads, and request consent messages.
- Network state: Used to determine whether a network connection is available for a requested test.
- Local network: On Android versions that protect local network access, this permission is requested when a Ping test needs to reach a private or local-network address.
The Google Mobile Ads SDK may access the Android advertising identifier where permitted by Android and your privacy choices.
You can deny or revoke the local-network permission in Android settings. Tests that require local-network access may not work without it, while tests of public internet targets remain available.
5. Third-Party Services and Sharing
The app uses Google AdMob to provide advertising. Google may process IP address, device and advertising identifiers, app and ad interactions, and diagnostic information for ad delivery, measurement, and fraud prevention. The app does not deliberately pass Ping targets, results, favorites, or History to the advertising SDK. Google may observe the public IP address through its own network requests. Processing and retention are governed by Google's Privacy Policy and Google's advertising policies.
The Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect and share the data described above automatically for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention. IP addresses may be used to estimate a device's approximate location; this does not require GPS location permission. Identifiers may include the Android advertising ID, app set ID, and, where applicable, identifiers associated with signed-in accounts. Data collected by the SDK is encrypted in transit using TLS. The app does not include a separate analytics SDK. See Google's Mobile Ads SDK data disclosure for details.
UMP checks applicable consent requirements when the app starts. The Mobile Ads SDK is initialized and ads are requested only when its consent state permits ad requests. When required, the app provides ad privacy choices to revisit your choices. The app includes no separate analytics SDK.
The app uses Android and open-source Android support libraries to provide its interface, local storage, and device functionality. These libraries run as part of the installed app and are not used by JB FACTORY to collect your test targets, results, or usage information.
When you choose the Share results action, Android transfers the selected result text to the app or service you select. The recipient handles that information under its own privacy practices. JB FACTORY does not receive the shared content or control it after you send it to another app.
Google Play and the Android operating system may independently process information related to app distribution, installation, security, crash reporting, or device operation under Google's policies and your device settings. Such processing is not performed by JB Tool - Ping or received by JB FACTORY through the app.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
Google retains advertising and consent-related information under its own policies. Deleting local History, clearing app storage, or uninstalling the app does not automatically delete information already processed by Google.
JB FACTORY does not maintain a server-side account, database, or user record for JB Tool - Ping. There is therefore no app-collected server data for us to retain or delete.
History, favorites, and language preferences remain on your device until you delete them using available in-app controls, clear the app's storage in Android settings, or uninstall the app. Individual History and Favorite entries can be removed from their respective screens.
7. Security
Ping targets, results, and favorites are kept in the app's private storage. The app has no account system or JB FACTORY-operated network service. Advertising and consent services process information under Google's practices described in Section 5.
Ping is a network diagnostic operation and is not an encrypted application protocol by itself. The app measures connectivity and response timing but does not send account credentials or user content to the target. No method of electronic storage or network communication is completely secure.
8. Children's Privacy
JB Tool - Ping is a general-purpose network utility and is not directed to children. JB FACTORY does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Google advertising services may process device and advertising data as described in this policy.
9. Your Choices
- Choose which hostname or IP address, if any, you want to test.
- Choose the request count, interval, timeout, and IP version.
- Choose whether to save or remove a target from Favorites.
